POSSIBLE SERVICE PROJECTS FOR ROTAKIDS
The following have worked with JBE RotaKids:
1. Beach Cleanup with the RC of Stuart
2. All school collection for Polio Plus
3. Food for Families
4. Toys for Tots
5. Bell ringing with the RC of Stuart for Salvation Army[w/ Rotarians]
6. Participated in School Carnival
7. Created ‘Happy Hats’ for children in the Martin Memorial Cancer unit.
8. Planting and maintaining 3 gardens on the school campus
9. Participated in All School Cleanup projects
10. Decorated Christmas Tree at Jensen Beach Post Office
11. Sale of Nestles Chocolate Easter Bunnies - money used to provide $125.00
gift cards for 6 needy families in the JBE school family
12. Created posters to remind students not to litter
13. Campbell’s Soup Labels for Education .... RotaKids have the whole school saving
them and bringing them in
The real function of the teacher sponsor and the Rotary sponsor is to gently lead the RotaKids into picking projects they can be successful doing. Kids that age tend to come up with grandiose project ideas that would be wonderful projects.....for the state government. The leaders need to see the kids select projects suitable for them.
